Online music instruction

(If you do not find a lessons package below that fits your needs, please contact Jesse here)
Jesse offers live online videoconference music instruction for individuals and groups on subjects including drums, other instruments and several music-related topics (see course offerings below). With many excellent platforms such as Zoom, Skype and GoToWebinar, as well as a wealth of digital teaching content available, online music instruction is a great way to build a foundation for understanding the overwhelming amount of knowledge available in the age of information.
As a veteran music educator, Jesse has taught students of all levels. At New York City’s Third Street Music Settlement, the longest running community music school in the United States, Jesse directed rock band ensembles for children ages 10-13 in the public school system. He also directed the music ensemble program and taught private instrumental lessons at Chinatown’s historic Florentine Music School (Yamaha method). Jesse also founded and directed BAND CLASS, a Brooklyn-based bespoke music ensemble program integrated in the New York City homeschool educational community.
Jesse’s students have moved on to participate in and receive scholarships to programs including New York Jazz Academy, Berklee College of Music Summer 5-week Program, Abrons Arts Center, and the Jazz at Lincoln Center High School Jazz Academy. He is currently earning his master's degree in Music and Applied Teaching (MAT) at the City University of New York (CUNY) Lehman College in the Bronx. By 2023, he will be state certified to teach music to K-12 in the NYC Department of Education (DOE) school system.
